Course 3 : Managing a Workplace Substance misuse / abuse Programme - Test Mediums and Windows of Detection

Duration: Half Day | Cost: POA

Course 4 : Workplace Substance misuse / abuse Workshop.

Duration: Full Day | This course is a two part delivery - one month's notice required to bespoke this for your business.

Part A: Half day awareness - POA

During the morning session aspects of courses 1-3 above are delivered to staff for general awareness training and can be bespoke to the company and or sector in which it operates. This session can be delivered to a Minimum of 10 or a maximum of 24 people either at your company premises or at H&A headquarters.


Part B: Half day - Limited to a maximum of 20 delegates to be trained as in-house collectors - POA

DER (Designated Employee Representatives) and is for those companies who require an in-house collection service / rapid response team with fully trained substance & alcohol misuse / abuse champions. The staff who attend this part of the workshop will be instructed and certificated in:

  • How to use the sample collection devices selected by the company
  • How to complete and maintain the chain of custody of the donor and sample
  • Management and interpretation of the policy and its administration manual
  • Questioning techniques pre, during and post collection
  • Interpretation of toxicology reporting
  • Requirements of Data Protection

Who It’s for & Aims

It is designed for those professionals / companies who are committed to learning more about workplace substance & alcohol misuse / abuse and its application to protecting the workforce, the company and its directors. The aim of this course is to train those individuals who are charged with procurement of and delivery / management of a complete substance & alcohol misuse / abuse programme. The Train the Trainer Course encompasses all aspects of courses 1-4 and also includes:

  • Interview techniques and appropriate documentation
